Ms. Jeanne Fowler, age 77, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Sun. 28 July 2013 at the Metropolis Nursing & Rehab Center. Jeanne was born and raised in Metropolis. She was an educator in the state of Illinois for over 40 years and returned to her native Metropolis following her retirement. Jeanne attended the First United Methodist church. Jeanne is survived by 2 sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" (Bill) Krumrey of Cape Coral, FL and Chris Fowler Wiedeman of Metropolis, IL; 1 brother, Robert (Terri) Fowler of Port St. Lucie, FL; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, B. D. "Mike" and Letha Mae (Cummins) Fowler; step-mother, Joan Fowler and nephew, Michael Krumrey.
