Bridget emigrated c. 1851-2 to Troy, NY with her husband, Patrick Farley and 22 month old son, Nicholas. Nicholas shows as age 10 in the 1860 Census. Their son, James, 3, at the time of the emigration, was left in Ireland with a set of grandparents and did not come to America until he was a young man. This is proven by his absence in the 1860 Census but his presence, age 22, in the 1870 Census.
The family expanded in Troy to include Maria (pronounced Mariah), Julia and Patrick. Per St Joseph's Church records, there was also a son, Thomas, born in 1856 and a son, Francis, born in 1862. Neither survived as they don't appear in subsequent censuses. The records clearly state that those 2 boys, as well as Maria (Mary on baptismal) as well as Patrick were the children of Patrick and Bridget Farley. On Francis' baptismal it states Patrick Farley and "Bridget Davis" were the parents.
Bridget's husband was noted as an iron worker on the 1880 Census. Bridget's birth years on the Censuses vary from 1824, 1825 or 1827.
Bridget and her husband Patrick last appear in the 1880 Census. Bridget is listed as a widow in the 1893 Troy City Directory. She is listed in the directories up until the 1899 edition. According to St Joseph's Church/Cemetery records of Troy, NY, "Mrs Bridget Farley" was buried July 1899. I can only assume that is this Bridget though the records had no other details than the first and last names.
St Joseph's Cemetery was the family cemetery. The Farley surname owned Row 85 Lot 13 and Row 86 Lot 13 and are back to back of each other. So since Bridget last appears in the 1899 directory and not in the 1900 Census she probably is the person in the records buried July 1899.
