Doris Wiggins Hurley Williams, 75, of Suffolk, VA, passed away December 1, 2009. She was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Lois Avery and Johnnie Horace Wiggins. She was predeceased by two husbands, George Hurley, Jr., and John Edwin Williams; and a brother, Buck McCoy Wiggins. Doris was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, the West Memorial Bible Class, and the Afternoon Circle.
Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl H. and Kenneth Griffin, of Suffolk, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, George “Bucky” Hurley, III, and Kay Hurley, of Suffolk, VA, Keith and Becky Hurley, of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Laura, Heather, and Chris Hurley, Kyle and Mary Shannon Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Horace Wiggins and Ruby Wiggins of Richmond, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held December 5, 2009, at Suffolk Christian Church, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
Parr Funeral Home & Crematory served the family.
