SHELBY -- Annabelle (Morley) Berthelote, 92, a longtime Sweet Grass Hills homemaker, died of natural causes Wednesday at the Marias Care Center in Shelby.

Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Her funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunburst United Methodist Church, with burial in Sunburst Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence, on Oct. 17, 1986; two brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.

Annabelle was born Jan. 3, 1912, in Gold Butte, to William and Bella (Dickson) Morley. She was raised in the Sweet Grass Hills and Sunburst area, and graduated from Shelby High School in 1934.

Ann married Lawrence Berthelote on April 6, 1938, in Shelby. They operated the Green Coulee Ranch their entire married life, where she was a proud wife, mother and homemaker.

Annabelle was a member of the Sunburst United Methodist Church, Prairie Homemakers, Weavers rug weaving club, the WSCS church group, and was an active 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, tatting, and cooking and baking. She especially loved traveling.

The family suggests memorials to the Toole County Education Foundation, or to the donor's choice.
