On November 18th, 2014, Shawn D. Miller passed away in New York City.

Shawn was born on November 22, 1971, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Larry R. Miller and Claudette Neilson Miller.
He graduated from South Fremont High School with honors and received a full ride scholarship to Utah State. Shawn received his Bachelors degree in French and International Relations from Utah State and continued his education at Syracuse University in New York. He graduated from Syracuse University with a Masters degree in Political Science.

Shawn worked for International Finance a World Banking Corporation in Washington D.C. and then he continued his career in New York City where he joined CitiFinancial in 2004. Shawn was the Managing Director and Global Head of Environmental and Social Risk Management at CitiBank. He was also was the elected Chair of the Equator Principles.

Shawn was a well- respected, kind, loving individual who was known worldwide in the International Environmental banking industry.
Shawn was passionate about politics, art, spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Claudette Miller, his siblings, Laree Miller Davis (Steve), Dan Miller (Becky), Jodi Miller Allen (Todd), his eight nieces and nephews and his loving partner Karim Lechilli.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry R. Miller and his grandparents.

Shawn’s memory will live on through his family, friends and colleagues worldwide. A Scholarship Fund will be set up in Shawn’s name. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to that fund at any East Idaho Credit Union branch. The account is under Laree Davis/Shawn D. Miller Memorial Fund.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilford LDS Church. The family will meet with friends Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services both at the church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
