Joyce L. Davis, 69, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Columbus Regional Hospital, in Columbus.

Born Nov. 25, 1934, in Russell Springs, Ky., she was the daughter of Elbert and Bertha (Burton) Sullivan. She married Warren Leon Davis on April 30, 1954, and he survives.

Other survivors include one son, Steven W. (wife, Angela M.) Davis of Shelbyville; two daughters, Karen S. (husband, Henry) Williams and Beverly G. (husband, Jay) DeBaun, both of Shelbyville; one sister, Doris Voris of Shelbyville; two brothers, William Sullivan of Shelbyville and Glendo Sullivan of Florida; six grandchildren, Andy J. Williams, Amy L. Schmid, Jennifer L. Pearson, Shay L. Lich, Rachael L. Davis and Stephanie L. Davis; two stepgrandchildren, Scarlet M. Herzog and Rodney Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Katelynn Schmid and Taylor Schmid.

Mrs. Davis lived in Shelbyville for 59 years. She previously lived in Russell Springs, Ky.

She was a desk clerk at Sullivan Motel, for 18 years, retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Mohr officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
