Olive E. Wright, 82, of Poland, passed away at Owen Valley Health Campus on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Samuel and Marie (Bennett) Ervin on December 3, 1931. She worked at Bloomington RCA. Previously she worked at Medical Polymers in Spencer, being one of the first persons hired. Later it became what is now Boston Scientific, and she retired in 1994.
Olive is survived by her children, Peggy L. Wright of Spencer, Richard L. (Martha) McClain of Atkinsonville, Perry L. (Mary) of Atkinsonville, and Oral W. (Michelle) Wright of Spencer; brothers, Jim (Forsee) Ervin of North Salem and Fred (Lois) Ervin of Gosport: 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Lawrence Robert Wright and Clifford Owen Wright; brother, Lowell R. Ervin and stepdaughter, Sharon Hurt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
