He was a World War II Navy Veteran and worked as a salesman/manager for 50 years for Phenix Supply Company. He was a former member for 85 years of St. Paul Methodist Church and a current member of Earle St. Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty P. Worrell, his children Mary Ellen Fisher (Tom), Dr. Cindy Doolittle (Bruce), and Everett Worrell, Jr. (Wanda), his grandchildren Nathan and Brittany Hamilton, Lucy Wilkinson (Tommy), Andrew and Sara Worrell, his great-grandchildren Olivia Story, Maclaren and Owen Wilkinson, Cameron Hamilton, and his sisters Barbara Worrell, Sara Newton, and Frances Jones.
He was predeceased by a son, Robert V. Worrell and 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
