Mr. George Warren Welch age 83 of Thomaston, died Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Mr. Welch was born on February 14, 1931 in Taylor County Ga, to the late James and Willie Lou Welch. He was formerly employed with Warner Robins Air-Force Base where he worked in the Classified Radar Section until his retirement. Mr. Welch served his country in the U.S. Army for many years. Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Welch, daughter Debra W. Sherman, brothers James Welch & Donald Welch.
Survivors include his brother Mr. Gordon(Audrey) Welch of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Brenda (Cal)Harris of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Mary (John) Gibbs of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Martha (Charles) Metcalf of Tallahassee Fl, Mrs. Irma (Harry) Jennings of Tallahassee Fl, sister in law Mrs. Gloria (Richard) Conway of Thomaston Ga, sister in law Mrs. Dot Welch of Thomaston Ga.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 21, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylor County. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday November 21, 2014 from 3-4 p.m.
