Patricia Elizabeth Bolls Shaw, 75, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away on November 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Lunns Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi Danny Kislin officiating. Burial will follow at Hebrew Rest Cemetery in Wichita Falls, under the ion of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home.
Patricia Bolls Shaw was born Patricia Elizabeth Bolls on August 17, 1939 in Memphis, TN to the late Dr. and Mrs. George Franklin Bolls of Lake Butler, FL. She graduated from P.K.Yonge High School in Gainesville, FL in 1959. Pat became a Registered Nurse, graduating from Lake City Junior College in April 1967. After graduation, she worked in various nursing positions, the last of which was in Gorgas Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone. At Gorgas Hospital, she met her late husband, Dr. Richard B. Shaw. In 1975, they settled in Wichita Falls, TX, where Pat became active in many organizations within the Wichita Falls medical community, the Wichita Falls Country Club, and the House of Jacob Synagogue. She was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing, and spending time with family, friends, and her pets.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Irene Weston, and husband. She is survived by sister Pam Howard of Lake Butler, FL, brother Frank Bolls of Brooksville, FL, daughter Elizabeth and soninlaw Ray Howard, of Pinellas Park, FL, daughter Paige and soninlaw Bruce Nicely of Waynesville, NC, and daughter Valerie and soninlaw Mark Pinson, of Wichita Falls, TX. Her grandchildren include Faron Dukes, Mario and Derek Norris, and Madilynn, Hunter, and Henry Pinson. Greatgrandchildren include Amanda Dukes, Brooklynn and Brantley Norris. She is also survived by niece Jennifer Thomas, nephews Jimmy and David Thomas, and Jim Morgan, and longtime dear friend Marcia Haygood, and her beloved companion, Deva.
Pat was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Pats honor to two of her favorite organizations, the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, 1230 Midwestern Parkway, WF, TX, 76302 and the Humane Society of your choice.
