Funeral services for Posey Woodside Willard, 81, Alton, were held recently at the Huddleston Chapel with Rev. Alphus Capps officiating.
Mr. Willard died Aug. 22 in the Royal Oak community near Alton. He was born at Rover, Sept. 24, 1879, to the late James and Amanda Willard. On June 5, 1901 he married Matilda Elizabeth Judd at Rover.
Surviving are his wife, Matilda of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Bales, Alton, Mrs. Mildred Williams, Vanderbilt, Tex.; Mrs. Irma Judd, Thomasville; two brothers, James Willard, West Plains, and Randle Willard, Newport, Ark.; and a half sister, Mrs. Alpha Prather, Pueblo, Colo.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Burial was in Huddleston Cemetery under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
