Ambrosius, Alfred W. Beloved husband of the late Sally Ambrosius. Devoted father of Paula (John) Williams, Stephen (April) Ambrosius, William (Cathy) Waddington, Karen (John) Minzenberger and Jennifer Parks. Loving grandfather of Ben (Rachel), Abby, Tim, Ross, Sara (Greg), Max and Nick and great-grandchildren Aidan and Addison. Loving owner of his faithful dog Reggie. Passed away after a brief illness on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the age of 85. Al was a commercial architect by trade and was still working part time up until his recent illness. He was a devoted member of the Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian and served on several committees. Al loved nature, especially bird watching and in earlier years, camping and canoeing. He loved to travel and had the good fortune to have seen so much of the world. Al was an avid bridge player and a regular participant in his good friend Jane’s water aerobic classes. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st at the Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian 21 Cromwell Road, Greenhills, OH 45218. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 10:30. Inurnment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery (meet at foyer of Gwen Mooney Funeral Home / Spring Grove Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.) Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to Hospice of Cincinnati or Cincinnati Nature Center.
