3 Dead In SR 73 Accident

The second traffic fatality within a 22 hour period, this time one which left three persons dead, has been recorded in Highland County.
The two-vehicle crash scene at 12:10 p.m. yesterday was about one-half mile south of Hillsboro of SR 73. The driver and a passenger in one vehicle, 19-eyar-old Mark A. Elmore and David Winn, also 19, were killed, along with Dallas Bond, 57, of Middletown, the driver of the second vehicle.
According to the Highland County Sheriff Dept. Elmore went left of center on SR 73 and struck the car driven by Dallas Bond.
Winn was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy County Coroner Dr. Raonld Austin.
Elmore, Dolly Bond, a passenger in the Bond vehicle, and Dallas Bond were all transported to Highland District Hospital by the Hillsboro Life Squad.
Elmore was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:06 p.m., while Dallas was transported to Grant Hospital in Columbus by the LifeFlight helicopter. He died at 3:37 p.m.
Dolly was in fair condition at Highland District Hospital this morning.
The triple fatality comes less than 24 hours after Dr. Letcher Langston was killed in a two-vehicle accident on SR 247 Monday.
Services for David Wayne Winn will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at Hope Miller Funeral Home. Burail will be in West Union Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday.
Winn was born Aug. 5, 1964, in Scioto County, the son of Paul and Rosalie First Winn.
He was employed at Rocky Fork State Park. Survivors include his father, mother, two sisters, maternal grandmother, paternal grandmother, and maternal great-grandmother.
Services for Mark Allen Elmore will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Rev. Keith Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery on Peach Orchard Road. There will be no visitation.
Elmore was born Nov. 25, 1964, in Wilmington, the son of Terry and Louella Berry Elmore.
He was a 1982 graduate of Whiteout High School, Mowrystown.
Survivors include his parents, one sister, maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.

Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery on Peach Orchard Road. There will be no visitation.
