OCEANA - Delbert "Ferdie" Rollins departed this life, Monday, August 14, 2006, at the age of 24 years 11 months and 9 days.
Born September 5, 1981, at Beckley he was the son of James Edward Rollins (1948-2014) and Rose "Rosie" Mary Riffe-Rollins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy June Folds-Rollins (Deceased).
Those left to cherish his memory are his father and step mother, James Edward Rollins (1948-2014) and Sharon Rollins of Oceana; his mother, Rose "Rosie" Mary Riffe-Rollins of Oceana; two children, Aliegha Rollins of Oceana and Davin Rollins of NC; three sisters, Melody Sue Rollins of Buckhannon, Leslie Rollins-Baker of Killien, TX., and Shawna Kay Rollins-Hall (1983-2018) of Oceana; four brothers, James "Jimmy" Edward Rollins of SC, Thomas "Tommy" Eric Rollins of SC, Aaron Rollins of Oceana, and Austin Rollins of Oceana; his maternal grandparents, Ray Riffe and Mary Riffe of Oceana; his paternal grandfather, Ted Eugene Rollins (Deceased) of Oceana; seven uncles, Terry Dale Rollins, Ted Rollins, Jr. Mike Rollins all of Oceana, Randy Rollins of V.A., Danny Rollins of Akron, Billy Rollins both of Akron, OH., and Berry Rollins of Fla.; two aunts, Patty Rollins and Brenda Swortz both of Akron, OH.; four nieces, Autum, Lillie, Hailey and Myla; seven nephews, James, Terran, Jesse, Cody, Seth and Keeten; and a host of friends.
A celebration of "Ferdie" life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2006 at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Kopperston Community Cemetery, Kopperston.
