Nancy graduated from St. Paul's High, SF in 1931. She graduated Clarke College, 1935, received her doctorate from the University of Madrid and completed higher education at USF. Nancy taught school at Aptos Junior High and Portola Junior High in SF for many years. Because of her positive attitude and zest for life Nancy cultivated many friendships. She cherished her group of college friends and the special people at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Rohnert Park.
To her valued and dear friend, Jackie Pacheco, her family would like to express their gratitude for her love, kindness and generosity of time, especially during her last illness.
Nancy was also loved and admired by her husband Joe's adult children and their families.
Multi-talented author and authority on the discovery of America. Her books "Women of the Conquistadores" (both in Spanish and English) and "Send to Peter Martyr" are widely respected.
Burial: Holy Cross Catholic Cemetary, Colma, CA.
