Funeral to be Held Sunday for Mrs. S. Christensen


Funeral services will be held here Sunday at 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel for Mrs. Lucretia Jane Black Christensen, wife of Soren Christensen, who passed away at her home here at 6:15 o'clock Tuesday evening. She had been critically ill nearly two weeks, having suffered a stroke October 18.


Mrs. Christensen was born at Huntington, January 14, 1889, a daughter of Chas. T. and Mary M. Black. With her parents she moved to Marysvale where she lived until her marriage to Soren Christensen October 30, 1906. Since her marriage she had resided in Richfield where by her kindliness and hospitality she has won many friends. Although her time was largely devoted to her home, she was an active member of the Relief society.


Surviving Mrs. Christensen are her husband; three daughters and four sons; Mrs. Orian Peterson, Cyril, Earl, Merrill, Lou, Boyd and Zena Christensen all of Richfield; three grandchildren; her mother, and the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Black of Marysvale, C P. Black of Richfield, Seymour P. Black of Ely, Nevada, Terrah Black of Salina, A. V. and Cecil Black of Salt Lake and Mrs. Ray Sorenson of Richfield.
