Mary May Plummer, 82, of Rochester, IN, formerly of South Bend, IN passed away at 3:13 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Life Care Center, Rochester, IN. She was born on January 12, 1932 in South Bend, IN to the late Ralph and Irene Pearl (Jeffrey) Coon. On April 5, 1952 in Lakeville, IN she was united in marriage to Glen Plummer who preceded her in death on December 24, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son, James D. Plummer in 2004, and brother, Ralph Coon Jr.
Mrs. Plummer is survived by two sons, Robert G. Plummer of Rochester, IN and Ronald A. Plummer of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, Rona Plummer, Rocky Plummer, Jamie Bolton, Cheri Miller, Ashley Plummer, Tyler Plummer and Chasen Plummer; thirteen great grandchildren and sister, Phyllis Travis of South Bend, IN. She retired in 1994 from Raco Corp. after twenty-two years of service. She was a member of Apostolic Temple, South Bend, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and American Legion Auxiliary.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. There will be no visitation.
