MRS. BERRY
CUSSETA -- Mrs. Sue Carol Berry, 63, of Cusseta died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000 at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Jerry Edge officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Lee County.
Mrs. Berry is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Sturkie, Flora Sorrells and Vada Johns, all of Cusseta; her son, Thurbert Hall Jr. of Cusseta; two sisters, Mary Booker and Wilma Greenway, both of Valley; five brothers, Bill Mitchell and Mack Mitchell, both of Delta, Ala., Calvin Mitchell of Ashland, Ala., Nat Mitchell of Beulah and Hamlin Mitchell of Valley; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Born Jan. 1, 1937 in Clay County, Ala., Mrs. Berry had been employed with WestPoint Stevens for 25 years. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Poriah Baptist Church in Delta. She was the daughter of the late Flora Melissa Ledbetter Mitchell and Nat R. Mitchell.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
