"Horace J. Holmes Succumbs in Omaha"
ST. PAUL - Horace J. Holmes, 87, an Omaha business formerly of Elba and Grand Island, died Saturday night in an Omaha hospital following a severe heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Burkett Funeral Home in Omaha.
Mr. Holmes, who was the oldest member of the St. Paul Masonic Lodge 82 AF & AM, had been in failing health for several months.
Survivors include two sons, Allen of Sioux City, Ia., and Burton of Milwaukee, Wis.; six grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Mrs. W. J. Barnes of St. Paul.
