Christopher Lawrence Worley Bradshaw, Sr., 93, of Hedgesville, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at his home.

Born February 28, 1921 in Port Ó Spain, Trinidad, West Indies, he was the son of the late John Worley and Nora Johnson Bradshaw.

He was an Episcopalian.

He graduated high school from Queens College in Port O' Spain and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in tropical agriculture from Imperial College in Port Ó Spain.

He served from 1941-1945 as a Lieutenant with the British Army Genadiers.

He worked as a chemist in the sugar industry and as a factory manager and distiller of rum. He worked in Trinidad, St. Lucia and Guyana, South America.

He and his family moved to the United States in 1954 and lived in New York State. He worked in New York City as a mechanical engineer for American Electric Power, designing valves for power stations along the Ohio River. Then he worked, for 20 years, with Rockwell Manufacturing in Pittsburgh, Pa. as a valve engineer for nuclear power plants in South Korea, Japan, France, Italy and India.

He liked basket weaving, gardening, woodworking and textile weaving.

Surviving are his children, Elizabeth Delorey, Hedgesville, William Bradshaw, Aurora, Colo. and Richard Bradshaw, Plano, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bradshaw; one son, Christopher Bradshaw, Jr.; two sisters, Elizabeth Egenaes and Anne Demeillau and one grandson, Bruce McWilliams.

Memorial services in Nags Head, N.C. will be announced at a later date.
