BOTHWELL, UTAH – Tracy Nelson Hoskins, age 49, was an angel, known to most as wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend, and a gracious stranger to those who were privileged to cross her path. This path took an unexpected and tragic turn on Nov. 13, 2014, when our earthly angel was called home due to an automobile accident; our lives have been changed forever.

Tracy was born a first daughter to LaMont and Barbara Nelson, on Dec. 1, 1964. They were overjoyed to have her join their lives. Tracy grew up in Bothwell, and graduated from Bear River High School in 1983, before moving to Logan and attending classes at Utah State University.

She soon moved back to her beloved Bothwell valley where she became the adored wife of Shawn W. Hoskins. They married on March 12, 1989, and had six beautiful children; Chet LaMont Nelson (Salt Lake City, Utah), Devri Lee (Avery) Breneman, Blackfoot, Idaho; Colton Shawn Hoskins (Salt Lake City, Utah), Chace Ty Hoskins, Cody Chandler Hoskins, and her little sidekick and mini-me, Brooklyn Tracy Hoskins (Bothwell, Utah). Tracy and Shawn’s marriage was solemnized and their family sealed together, in the Logan LDS temple on Nov. 3, 2004.

Tracy worked in various positions, but discovered her true passion when she began working with the youth in our valley, as a substitute teacher in the Box Elder School District, but her favorite job, which she did not really think of as a job, was being a school bus driver for the Garland Elementary School and also transporting students to their various sports and extracurricular activities. She loved her bus students and also the special relationship she developed with the Bear River wrestling teams.

Tracy became a mother to everyone and was generous and selfless in her ways. We will truly miss her feisty little red head, bossy pants attitude, but yet very kind hearted and motherly affections.

Tracy is survived by her husband, Shawn W. Hoskins, and her children, her mother, Barbara Nelson (Bothwell, Utah), and sisters Tina Nelson (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Cassie Nelson (Sarasota, Fla.), and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Kay Hoskins (Blackfoot, Idaho). Tracy is also by survived many aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and good friends.

Tracy was reunited with her beloved dad, LaMont Nelson, who preceded her in death, as well as her grandparents, and other family members.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 5:30 – 8 p.m., at the Tremonton West Stake Center, located at 345 S. 1000 W., Tremonton, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m., also at the Tremonton West Stake Center, with a viewing preceding the funeral services from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery in Bothwell, Utah.
