"Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Means, 95, were held at 2:30 pm Saturday in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in the Marysee community with Rev. C. M. Lang, pastor of Rosedale Baptist Church in Beaumont officiating assisted by Rev. Sam Cain.

"Burial was in the Moss Hill Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home of Liberty.

"Mrs. Means died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Rosa Booth in Beaumont on December 10. She was born in Wood County, Tex., had lived in Liberty County most of her life before moving to Beaumont two years ago. She was a member of the Baptist church at Amelia.

"Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mattie Patton, Liberty; Mrs. Both [sic] and Mrs. Winnie West of Beaumont; Mrs. Bessie Dickinson and Mrs. George Nett of Sour Lake and Mrs. Charles Hudgins of Silsbee, 30 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren."
