Linda Hancock, 59, of Stockland, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.
She was born May 17, 1955, in Watseka, the daughter of Ed Bertram and Ora (Thompson) Bertram.
On March 25, 1972, she married Warren Hancock in Geer, IL at Prairiegreen Christian Church.
Mrs. Hancock was a Postmaster for many years and had recently retired. She was a member of the Milford Christian Church and an EMT for Stockland for 24 years. She enjoyed camping and craft work.
Surviving Mrs. Hancock is her husband, Warren Hancock of Stockland, IL; parents, Ed and Ora Bertram of Stockland, IL; two sons and daughter-in-law, Eric and Christina Hancock of Rossville, IN, and Mark Hancock of Urbana, IL; two daughters and son-in-law, Amanda and Nathan Lambert of Milford, IL and her "daughter" Staci Francis of Rockford, IL; on sister, Kathie Brady of Watseka, IL; eight grandchildren, Dallas Hancock, Brent Hancock, Evan Hancock, Macie Hancock, Morgan Lambert, Aurora Lambert and (Kinsley Lynn Lambert and Lucas Hancock born after Linda passed) and several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Edna Hancock.
Visitation for Mrs. Hancock will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Milford Christian Church in Milford.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Milford Christian Church in Milford, at 11:00 am, with a one hour visitation prior to services. Pastor Brent Zastrow, Neil Larimore, and Gary Milton will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland, IL.
