Fred C. Burnett, age 92, of Dardanelle died Thursday at Dardanelle Nursing Center. Born May 19, 1910 in Dardanelle, he was the son of the late Fred Claybourn and Georgia Cale Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elmora Caviness Burnett. He retired as the Director of Dardanelle Federal Housing Project. He was a member of the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church and the Bright Star Masonic Lodge #213.
Survivors include daughters, Georgiana Tatum of Mt. Nebo, Betty Brown and husband, George of Russellville; a son, Fred Burnett, and his wife Dixie of Sedro Wooley, Washington; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services were Sunday, February 23, 2002 at the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Floyd Ervin officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home Dardanelle. Pallbearers were John Judkins, Tommy Hunt, Sr., Tommy Hunt, Jr., Charlie Hunt Jr., Scott Carter, Todd Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Senior Adult Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Dardanelle First United Methodist Church.
