Flight Sergeant / Air Observer.

Joseph died when his plane, Hampden AT122, crashed into an isolated wood at Lievelde-Besselinkschans, 10 km NW of Winterswijk, Gelderland, Holland. All on board were killed. The plane was one of four 106 Squadron Hampdens lost on that night.
