Mrs. Cora Miller Johnson, age 78, widow of the late Mr. Henry Clayton Johnson, died Sunday morning March 12, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Hancock County but had lived her most of her adult life in Baldwin County. She was the daughter of the late Tom Miller and the late Mrs. Martha Hitchcock Miller and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. J.W. Miller and Mrs. William Blizzard, both of Milledgeville; Mrs. Bill Batchelor of Devereaux; Mrs. Roy Simpson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs David Batchelor of Sparta; three sons, Mr. Howard Johnson of Macon; Mr. A.J. Johnson and Mr. Gerald Johnson, Both of Milledgeville; three sisters, Mrs. Georgia
Brooks, Mrs. Emma Pounds and Lois Bailey, all of Milledgeville, 24 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Hollis Miller and the Rev. Norman Williams officiating. Burial was in the Union Baptist Church cemetery in Washington County.
