Joan M. Rogers, 91, of Marinette, WI, passed away Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area of Marinette, WI. The former Joan M. Gamlin was born June 4, 1930 in Menominee, MI, residing in this area all of her life prior to entering Rennes-East of Peshtigo, WI.
She was a graduate of Marinette High School.
Joan married John H. Rogers on May 19, 1951. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2020.
For a number of years, Joan worked in food service on the UW-Marinette campus. She remained a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, spending many years providing child care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their early years. Joan and John enjoyed camping trips, often with family, and attended many regional festivals while camping.
Joan is survived by three daughters: Denise Lentz, Diane (Andrew) Swanson and Doreen (Dave) Sebero, all of Marinette, WI;
six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, in 1971.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. when services will be held. Deacon David Denby of Holy Family Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
