General Lee Sunday, 67, of Freeport, died Friday afternoon in a Panama City hospital. He was a native of Covington County, Alabama, but had resided in Walton County for a number of years. Survivors include three daughters, Miss Hazel Sunday, Geneva, Ala., Mrs. Jewel Armstrong, Panama City, and Mrs. Eloise Peace, Grand Forks, N. D.; a son, Buford Sunday, Kokoma, Ind.; two brothers, Arnold Andrew Sunday and David Sunday both of Samson, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Ward and Mrs. Mattie Ward, both of Samson. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday from the Comander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Rigdon officiating. Burial was in the Gum Creek Cemetery with Comander Funeral Home directing.
