"William Abner "Dab" was born July 22, 1906, in Boaz. TX. In January 1907, at the age of 6 months, his mother moved to the family homestead at Kenna. Dab met Thelma C. Nolan in 1938, while she was working as a bookkeeper at Denton's mercantile in Kenna. They were married on Aug. 20, 1939 in Clovis, NM. They had one daughter, Deborah Jene born Feb. 18, 1945 in Clovis, NM. Dab spent his entire life on the ranch south of Kenna and died there on May 8, 1992, while working in one of his pastures."
