Norma Jean Hamilton, 84, of Fairmont, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away February 17, 2017 at Monongalia General Hospital.
She was born July 12, 1932 in Glen Falls, WV, daughter of the late Sydney and Ellen (Drummond) Myers. She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and was formerly employed at K-mart and Bealls Outlet in Florida. Norma resided in Michigan for 30 years prior to relocating to Florida.
She is survived by four children, Sherry Smith and husband Stephen of Fairmont, Larry Vance Hamilton of Burton, MI, Kimberly Reeser and husband Robert of Rogersville, TN, Scott Derek Hamilton and wife Tina of Flint Township, MI; one sister, Betty Murray of Fairmont; seven grandchildren, Shawn Hamilton, Robert Reeser, Jr., Mark Reeser and wife Kristina, Lichelle Brooke Hamilton, Mathew Blake Hamilton, Bryan Smith, Brandon Smith and wife Durasha; eleven great-grandchildren, Blake Hamilton, Brooke Hamilton, Brice Hamilton, Damien Reeser, Charli Reeser, Jada English, William Reeser, Xavier Reeser, Xander Reeser, Morgan Smith, and Selby Smith; a dear friend, Donetta Kay Madden of MI; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hood of The Villages, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Hamilton; and a sister, Anna Mildred "Pootie" Donaldson.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will also be Friday 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
