Batavia Daily News Wednesday, April 11, 2007 • A-9

Mary Ellen C. Fuller
BATAVIA - Mary Ellen C. Fuller, 62, of Batavia, an energetic and creative mother, baker and seamstress, died Monday (April 9, 2007) at the Shore Winds, a skilled nursing facility in Rochester, while under hospice care. She succumbed to breast cancer after a long, hard, painful but courageous battle.

She was born Sept. 6, 1944, in Batavia, the daughter of Hattie Rist of Winter Haven, Fla., and the late Donald W. Campbell.

Mrs. Fuller lived her entire life in and around Batavia. She attended and was committed to the goals and mission of New Hope Ministries. She was active in several ministries including Prayer/Intercession, Dare 2 Care and drama. Late in her life, she was a teacher and an avid hunter, even shooting and killing a deer during the 2003 season and many squirrels over several seasons.

While taking courses toward an associate's degree at Genesee Community College, she met David E. Fuller Sr. They were married on New Year's Day in 1985.

In addition to her mother and her husband, survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Charles) Fuller of Houghton and Holly (Jeremiah) Jones of Rochester, four sons, David (Kerry) Stewart of Rochester, Stephen (Beth) Stewart of Bristow, Okla., Matthew Stewart of Albion and Joel Fuller of Batavia; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Stewart of Holley; a step-daughter, Terry Fuller of Erie, Pa.; three stepsons, David E. Fuller Jr. of Chambersburg, Pa., George (Carol) Fuller of Collegeville, Pa., Philip (Shelby) Fuller of Spring City, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Patricia (Al) Patterson of Tonawanda; a brother, Donald L. (Pearl) Campbell of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fuller donated her body to cancer research. For that reason there will be no viewing hours. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Ministries, Bank Street Road, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any church, any breast cancer organization or New Hope Ministries.

Cremated, not Interred yet. Oldest daughter has Ashes. Will be interred near her Father Donald W. Campbell and baby sister Bonnie A. Campbell. 53147105.
