Lucinda "Lucy" A. (Cornwell) Gore was the daughter of Jonas Cornwell & Lucinda (Anderson) Cornwell.
"Lucy" was born September 16, 1853 in Fauquier County, Virginia.
On December 19, 1878 (in Fauquier County, Near Orlean, Virginia) "Lucy" married John Walton Gore.

"Lucy" & John had 6 children:
(1) Wellington "Wellie" Lee Osborne Gore
(2) Hercelia (No Middle Name) (Gore) Corley
(3) Maggie "Mag" Maddox (Gore) Reid *(See Note Below)*
(4) Irvin C. Gore
(5) Sallie Lucinda (Gore) Cornwell
(6) Bessie Alice (Gore)

*(NOTE)
This family had lived in Tapps Ford but by 1900 they had moved to the south-east area of Marshall, Virginia (which is located in Fauquier County). John's occupation was listed as Farmer. When "Lucy" died the children were shuffled back and forth to different homes. Hercelia agreed to take care of the house and her siblings back at her father's home. Hercelia did just that for about 6 years. Then she eloped.
