Mildred B. Whittemore, 95, of Hyannis, died Saturday, Mar. 7 in Whitehall Manor Nursing Home. Born in Randolph, she graduated from Dennis North High School in 1910 and studied music and amanuensis at East Greenwich Academy in Rhode Island, later becoming secretary to the academy's president. For many years she operated a guest house in Dennis and was an Investigator with the State Department of Welfare. She was a former member of the Dennis Ladies Aide Society, charter member of the Chatterbox Club, former member of the Willing Hand Rebecka's Lodge and former member of Cape Cod Choral Society. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Whlttemore. Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Whittemore and Edwin S. Whittemore Jr., both of Hyannis; a daughter, Phyllis Sherwood of Marstons Mills; a sister; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Dennis Cemetery.
