Alan Rhea Raisor, 61, of Hope, died at 6:07 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital .

Alan was born August 23, 1953, in Madison, the son of Kenneth and Velma Hewitt Raisor. He married Ann Klineyoung December 27, 2004.

Alan was dedicated employee of Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Inc., having 20 years of perfect attendance. He was previously employed at Hostess for 17 years.

As a young boy, his passion for cars led to his longstanding participation in GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association for over 20 years. During that 20 years, he was proud to be a "Rodder's Rep" for the state of Indiana, working together with his wife as a team.

Alan was also a member of Hartsville Masonic Lodge #574. He enjoyed many sports, including volleyball, softball, drag racing and NASCAR, and was a fan of Hauser Athletics. Alan especially loved the sport of softball. His love of the game allowed him to make many friends throughout his 30 years of playing. It is that love of the sport that he proudly passed onto his boys.

Alan loved his family, and was extremely proud of his children and his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 201 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Tim Larrison and Jimmy Bennett officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Oncology / Hemotology or Hauser High School Girl's Volleyball and Girl's Basketball through the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Richard (Amanda) Raisor of Columbus, Kevin (Erica) Raisor of Columbus, Dale (Whitney Collins) Raisor of Hope and Arthur Hurt Jr. of Columbus; daughter, Arin (Tim) Larrison of Seymour; brothers, Guy (Marcy) Stott of Columbus and Shawn (Susan) Raisor of Brownstown; sisters, Cassy Raisor of Indianapolis and Becky (Ray) Raisor Weston of Vallonia; and grandchildren, Kylee and Kristee Larrison, Nathan Giles, Shelby Hurt and Madison and Luke Raisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Raisor and Velma Hewitt Stott.
