AMBOY — Special — Edward L. Morrissey, 53, died about 6:45 a.m. today at his home on East Main Street. He had been in failing health about two years. He had farmed and later was employed at Green River Ordnance Plant and by an oil company.
He was born in Amboy, July 1, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Morrissey Sr. He married Regina Brady in Chicago, Feb. 13, 1925.
Survivors are his widow; four brothers, William, Walter, and James, all of Amboy and Frances of Sublette, and a sister, Mrs Ralph Lewis, Amboy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. in Mihn funeral home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
