Born in Rutherford County to the late Otis W. Logan and Lucy Carpenter Logan, she was a retired employee of Broyhill Furniture Company. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She had served as a choir member and Women's Circle member.
She was the widow of Jesse L. Freeman, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Jesse L. Freeman Jr., James Walter Freeman both of Marion, NC; and two daughters Judy Freeman Robbins of Greensboro, NC, Linda Freeman Troy of Leland, NC; a sister Elizabeth Wilkes of Miami, Florida; a brother, Jacob W. Logan, of Glen Burnie, Maryland; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her tenacity, honesty and independent spirit. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 17 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Interment will follow at St John Missionary Cemetery, Lake Lure, NC.
