Eliza Ann Mitchell, age 92, of Garland, Texas passed away on August 15, 2013. She was born January 14, 1921, in Clarksville, Texas, to Jerry M. Wiggins Sr. and Fanny E. (Helms) Wiggins. On January 22, 1948, Eliza married Walter Mitchell in Paris, Texas. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved her family and friends. Eliza was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her sister, Vivian Marie Wiggins Corder of Clarendon, Texas; sister-in-law, Martha Wiggins of Garland, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
Eliza is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Fanny Wiggins; husband, Walter Mitchell; brothers, Elbert Wiggins, Andrew Wiggins, Albert Wiggins and Jerry Marr Wiggins Jr.; sisters, Dessie Wyatt, Ada Hinson and Rennie Hickey.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
