Mrs. Ruby Townsend, 78, died Saturday (Oct. 2, 1965) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eloise Peck, after a long illness. She was born in Atlanta, May 24, 1887, a daughter of George and Jane Hotchkiss Havens. She was a member of the Atlanta Presbyterian Church, and the Past Noble Grands Club. In addition to her daughter, survivors include two sons, Erwin of Atlanta, and George of Johnson City; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Alberta Havens of Miami Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home in Wayland, where a service will be conducted at 2pm Monday by Rev. Dean Bembower. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery, North Cohocton.
