June worked as a payroll supervisor at Bellingham shipyard during WWII. She met her future husband, John Wilmer Snyder who was a Sargent in the Army. They married on April 25, 1943. They moved to California, living in Rio Linda, Stockton and then Modesto.
In 1955, they got in to the turkey business while living in Escalon. In 1956, they moved to Roseville, then to Manteca, CA, and raised turkeys for 29 years. In 1985, June and John returned to Modesto, CA.
June belonged to the Escalon Presbyterian Church, and Spring Creek Golf and Country Club. John retired at 58 years old, and they spent the next 30 years playing golf and bowling.
June is survived by her four sons, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.
