"Mrs Minerva Duncan, past 80 years of age, died at 10:30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs C A Bell in this city. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the ME Church, interment following in Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs Duncan was a native of Texas and a pioneer of Lincoln County, coming here in 1883, was the mother of Mrs W J Hart and Mrs C A Bell of this city. She was the sister-in-law of the late John S Frans, and after the death of her sister, kept house for and assisted in rearing the Frans children. She was widely known in northern Lincoln County and especially in the Egypt country. Since coming to Davenport to reside her advanced age has kept her from mingling with her neighbors to any great extent." (DT & T: 10-02-1919)
