Benjamin “Ben” Gardner
Benjamin “Ben” Gardner, 84, of Greenville died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Ben was born May 8, 1930 in Gus, KY to the late Olan and Lena Mallory Gardner. He proudly served his country in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He was a farmer, and retired as Foreman from P&M Coal Company after 26 years of service. He was also a real estate agent, developer, and contractor upon retirement. Ben was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville, KY and a loyal servant to his Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats and spending time on the farm. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Francis Gardner and Horace Stogner.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm from Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY by Reverend Daniel Selman with burial with military honors to follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Greenville, KY.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 after 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY. In lieu of flowers donations should be made the Muhlenberg County Children’s Fund 226 ½ Hopkinsville St. Greenville, KY 42345. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
