Shirley was born to the parents of Edward and Cora Kortum. She married Robert Holman (now deceased) on Aug. 1, 1942, after graduating from Horlick High School in Racine.
As retiree's they moved to Davenport, Fla., in late 80's where she enjoyed playing cards, shuffle board and bingo at the community club house. Shirley was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Kortum and Paul Buell; along with her three sisters, Marie Herbst, Roberta Lueckfeld, and Beatrix Halverson.
