David "Woody" Woodall, age 80 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He was born September 7, 1932, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents John and Willie Mae (Caradine) Woodall.
David was a lifelong resident of Ravenna. He worked for many years as a parts manager for many auto dealers, retiring from Paul Ford in Garrettsville. David proudly served his country in US Army and was a member of Ravenna Elks 1076 and Ravenna Moose 1234.
He married the love of his life, Mary Jane Lansky on August 25, 1956. Woody will be remembered for his great love of sports, his gentle nature, and his great love for his family.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Woodall on January 13, 2009, as well as his parents, his son, David Michael Woodall, his brothers, Jack and Ralph Woodall, and his sister-in-law, Diane Woodall.
He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda (Patrick) Donofrio of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Debbie (Dale) Ripley of Tallmadge, Ohio and grandchildren, Daniel and Dustin Ripley. David is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Hazel) Woodall, Jim Woodall, Gary Woodall, and Bill (Susan) Woodall, his sisters, Janice (James) Madden, Rose (Cliff) Jones, and Della (Kenny) Bonner, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Sunday, July 7, 2013, from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM memorial service officiated by Pastor David Ballert at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be Maple Grove Cemetery on a later date.
