Dennis died Monday, December 27, 2004 at Genesis West Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 15, 1949 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Gale and Irene (Chapman) Booton. He married Susan A. Swangstu, May 12, 1979, in Edgington, Illinois.
Dennis was the sole proprietor of B & B Insurance Services of Bettendorf and most recently a Cage Supervisor for the Isle of Capri, Bettendorf. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport.
Dennis was a true outdoorsman; he especially loved working in his garden. He was very family orientated, loved being with his friends, and always enjoyed life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; children, Jason Booton, Bettendorf, Aaron Booton, Denver, Colorado, Eric (Janel) Swangstu, NewYork, New York, Holly (Mark) Ferguson, Overland Park, Kansas, Troy Swangstu, Kansas City, Missouri and Ryan Swangstu, Davenport; grandchildren, Devon Booton and Hugo Swangstu; sisters, Linda Robbins, Boise, Idaho and Sharon Hartson, Cleveland, Tennessee; a half brother, Robert Booton; numerous nieces and nephews, and two very special daughters, Shannon and Alex.
His parents preceded him in death.
