My remit is to research War Crimes committed against Allied airmen who were shot down over enemy territory during WW2. My current project is researching the fate of the crew of 349th Bomber Squadron B-17G 42-8514 Lassie Come Home.
T/Sgt. Robert William Garrison was murdered by the two members of the Gestapo, one who was sentenced to death and the other was never captured. Two other higher ranking SS officials were also sentenced to death for this crime and others crimes.
