Marjorie Riddle Silvers, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City. A native of Erwin, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Fannie Whaley Riddle. Mrs. Silvers was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was hard working and enjoyed gardening and canning. Mrs. Silvers loved her grandchildren and was always there for her family when they needed her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Silvers is preceded in death by her husband, William Austin Silvers, three daughters, Vivian Rigsby, Hazel Silvers and Sevella Bishop, and one grandson, Daniel Rigsby.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Mary Sue Silvers, Billie Janette Silvers, and Wanda Gail Silvers and husband Ronnie; her son, A.J. Silvers and wife Brenda; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Jenny Depew and Jerry Bowman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Marjorie to the American Heart Association, 3101 Browns Mill Road Ste. 6, PMB 321, Johnson City, TN 37604.
The family requests the honor of your presence to Celebrate the Life of Mrs. Silvers at 1:00PM on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City with Pastor Samuel Ramsey officiating. The family will greet guests to share memories from 12:00PM until the service hour. A Graveside Service will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens, Johnson City
