On August 8, 1964, Donald Anthony Williams, was born to the late David F. Williams and Fannie Williams. He was baptized at an early age at Primm Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Church; where he was very active in church organizations. A faithful member of Primm Tabernacle A.M.E. Church throughout his life.

He attended Seattle Public Schools and graduated from Summit K-12 in 1984.

Donnie was awarded a Scholarship in recognition of Academic Excellence and Contributions that he made to the quality of life as a student. He continued his higher education by enrolling at North Seattle Community College pursued and earned a Certificate of Achievement in International Cooking Cuisine.

Donnie loved cooking and was blessed to have lived out that passion of life. He held his first job in 1980 at his neighborhood, Taco Time for three months while attending high school. He was hired by Ivar's Salmon House on Pier 54 and received on the job training from some of Seattle's best chefs. Donnie worked at many other restaurants in Seattle and Portland, Oregon. He decided to spread his wings and enrolled at Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship. After completing his training he worked on the Norwegian Cruise Line on the Honolulu Hi Run, United States Coast Guard, as a Steward Assistant which took him to Diego Garcia, Singapore, Dubai, Tokyo and many other places. His last place of employment was in 2009 through Compass at one of Boeing's Cafeteria.

Donnie also became an entrepreneur, the owner of Big D's World Famous Bar-B-Que known for his Brisket, Sweet Potato Pie and his Big Smile.

When facing adversity with his health conditions, Donnie gracefully and fearlessly took on the challenges of life. There were certain foods he was restricted to eat, due to his health, so he would tell his family about his Crystal Ball, seeing his favorite meal; Macaroni and Cheese, Meatloaf, Green Beans and Peach Cobbler.

God called for his good and faithful servant to finally come home, on April 19, 2013. Family members and friends left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother Fannie Williams, brother and sister-in-law, two sisters, nieces, nephews, grandmother, aunts and uncles, cousins and a special circle of friends [survivors names omitted].

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, David F. Williams, his sister, Patricia Williams Boddie, his niece Jareda Boddie, his uncles Jimmy James and Charlie James.

Donnie was a very happy and lovable person. He had a big heart and was a very giving and caring person. He always made a sincere effort to share in the celebrations and sorrows of all who knew him.

Donald had several nicknames from an early age to adulthood; Donald Duck, "Big D" and Mr. Brown, whose television show, "Meet The Brown's." Donald presence, his laughter, smiles, jokes and compassion will be greatly missed. He lived each and every day to the fullest.
