Mary Ann Weber Biography

When Mary Ann Weber was born on January 18, 1838, in Albersweiler, Germany, her father, John, was 28 and her mother, Maria Ottilliae, was 30. The family immigrated to Canada by way of New York in abt.1848. She married Johannes Frederick Steiss in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada in abt. 1857. They had five children together between 1858 and 1865. Johns death was not expect at the young age of 30 years of age in 1865. She then married Thomas Maxwell Freeborn and they had eight children together between 1867 and 1882. She died on March 13, 1885, in Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, at the young age of 47, and was buried in Hamilton, Canada. Cause of death was Pneumonia.
