Princeton, LA - Carolyn Sue Bray Carrigan, 77, of Fillmore, Louisiana, stepped into eternity at 6:20pm on November 3, 2014, to meet her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after complications resulting from a two and a half year battle with stage-four lung cancer.

The second of three daughters, she was born in Aimwell Community to Clifford Lee and Aline Jordan Bray on September 28, 1937, and she was born-again into the family of God on August 24, 1974 in Marthaville. "Miss Carolyn" was a devoted family member, educator, missionary and friend, and she served alongside her husband in Christian ministry for over forty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and she is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Evangelist Carl Ernst Carrigan of Fillmore; two sons, Cky John Carrigan and wife Janna of Beaumont, Curtis Anthony Carrigan and wife Tammy of Shreveport; two sisters, Jackie Bray Teasley and husband Max Teasley of Zwolle and Edith Bray Warren and husband Grif Warren of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Mamaw" is also survived by five grandchildren, Apryl Carrigan and Bonnie Carrigan Horton and husband Brian of Raleigh, North Carolina; Caley Carrigan Prestridge and husband Derek of Pineville; Chelsea Carrigan Stafford and husband Chris of Shreveport; and Adam Carrigan and fiancé Hilary Wheat of Fort Worth; and four great-grandchildren, Daxton Prestridge, Emmaline Horton, Bray Prestridge and Raelyn Stafford. "Miss Carolyn" was also preceded in death by, and is survived by, a multitude of co-laborers in the family of God.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Banquet Hall (Door #2) of Summer Grove Baptist Church, 8924 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA 71118. Home going Celebration Service will follow at the same location at 2:00pm, followed by an additional gathering of family and friends. Rev. Skip Rainbolt, Fillmore Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Price Harris Night of Praise, 438 Mars Drive, Shreveport, LA 71106, or Dynamite Basketball, P.O. Box 1527, Mansfield, LA 71052.
