Marian Earl Adcock Brackman, 88, of Bradley, AR, died on November 12, 2014, at Promise Hospital in Bossier City, LA. She was born on August 9, 1926, in El Dorado, AR, to parents William Earl and Raby Gray Adcock.

She made her home and raised a family with her devoted husband of 68 years, Thomas Preston Brackman, in the Bradley bottoms.

Marian was a nurturer to her family, friends and her fellow church members. She kept books, chased farm parts, sewed, cooked meals, and played the piano at church. From her home, to the business she and her husband chose, family was always her center. Those she met along life’s path, friends, doctors, caregivers and others, became family. Marian was a shining example to all in the life she led.

Marian is survived by her husband; son Glenn and wife Sara Brackman of Bradley, AR; daughter Brenda and husband Donald Wayne of Hamburg, AR; son Tommy Brackman of Atlanta, TX; son Jimmy and wife Lisa Brackman of Bradley, AR; grandchildren Cathy (Mike) May, Jason (Breana) Wayne, Glenn Brackman Jr., Devon (Luke) Abbey, Bradie (Melissa) Brackman, Haley (Eric) Scott, Charlie Brackman, Breanna Brackman, Jacqueline Brackman, Dylan Brackman, and Cade Brackman; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is survived by one loving and faithful sister, Jeanette Head of Waskom, TX. Marian is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, JoLane Hardin; brothers Billy Adcock, Donald Adcock and Carl Adcock; and granddaughter Laney Brackman.

A service to celebrate her life will take place at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 15, at Bradley Baptist Church in Bradley, AR with Bro. Aaron Leggett officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brightstar, AR
